[GETS!] Back to the 80s. Who remembers THIS…?!
This post has been weeks in the making. I’m only sorry that I wasn’t able to write it when I first found this little piece of nostalgia, but with any luck I’ll at least be able to beat Vee’s upcoming post (since I’d hate to steal the top of the page from her).
No one in my current town knows what I’m talking about when I try to tell them about the Eraser Puzzle Cube of Glorious. Sadly, almost everyone around here is about ten years younger than I am — not nearly close enough to 1980 to be familiar with the awesome things I used to entertain myself as a kid (because we lived in the dark ages and there was no internet).
One of those things was this…
This is a puzzle cube. It is also an eraser. Why is that important? Because I used to collect erasers…. I also collected pencils…and bookmarks…. I still do many of these things, but let’s not linger on that, all right?
The other important thing to know about this is that, of course, since it’s a puzzle cube, you can take it apart. Like so:

Oh my God, how awesome is that?! It’s awesome, right? Say it’s awesome.
Back in the day, I had names for each one of these colored pieces, and I used them in order to 1 – recognize them, and 2 – try to remember in what order they went back together.
